The nature of the matter in respect of this decision is to be made has since been updated to include the following: This decision could not be reasonably deferred because delaying the decision would have a negative impact the Council’s ability to proceed with it's purchases of homes and utilise the temporary flexibility from government, we have with Right To Buy receipts. This flexibility will end in March 2026. Accelerating the purchase of homes will also enable the Council to reduce the significant cost pressure currently faced in providing Temporary accommodation, waiting until March for a decision would delay the implementation of this decision.
