Report of Divisional Director, Commissioning & Commercial Services

Minutes:

The officer introduced the report and explained that, following a review of the parking service and the introduction of a new virtual system, some posts were no longer required. Redeployment opportunities had been considered but no suitable alternative employment for this post holder had been identified.

RESOLVED:  That the payment of the contractual and statutory payments to the employee, as set out in the report, be approved.

Severance Payment of 100,000 or greater

Report of Corporate Director, People

Minutes:

Members received a confidential report which sought approval for a severance payment where the amount concerned was greater than £100,000.

The officer introduced the report and explained that Medium Term Financial Strategy savings had been allocated to the People Directorate and that, as part of the service efficiencies, Roxborough and Bedford House residential units had been merged.  This had resulted in the redundancies of 3.7 Full Time Equivalent staff and, given the severance package of one of those staff, the Panel’s approval was sought.  Redeployment opportunities had been considered but no suitable alternative employment for this post holder had been identified.

RESOLVED:  That the payment of the contractual and statutory payments to the employee, as set out in the report, be approved.
