RESOLVED:  That the attendance of Nominee Members at this meeting, further to the formula membership of the Panel, be noted as follows:-

To receive declarations of disclosable pecuniary or non pecuniary interests, arising from business to be transacted at this meeting, from:

(a)               all Members of the Panel;

(b)               all other Members present.

RESOLVED:  To note that there were no declarations of interests made by Members.

To resolve that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business, on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of confidential information in breach of an obligation of confidence, or of exempt information as defined in Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972.

RESOLVED:  That in accordance with Part I of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item for the reasons set out below:

Upon interview of short-listed candidates to consider making an appointment to the post of Director of Finance and Assurance

FOR CONSIDERATION

The meeting received a report from Gatenby Sanderson on applications submitted by candidates for the post of Director of Finance & Assurance.  The Panel then interviewed 3 of the 4 short-listed candidates.

RESOLVED:  That Simon George be appointed to the post of Director of Finance and Assurance of the London Borough of Harrow, with effect from a date to be determined and in accordance with the terms and conditions governing Chief Officer posts, other than as now determined.
