Members received a report which set out the process for the recruitment to the post of Interim Director of Finance and Assurance (Section 151 Officer).  The Panel were informed that one candidate had withdrawn their application.

 

RESOLVED:  That the remaining two shortlisted candidates, whose details had been circulated in confidential appendix 2, be interviewed.

Upon the interview of shortlisted candidates to consider making an appointment to the role of Interim Director of Finance and Assurance (Section 151 Officer)

Minutes:

Having interviewed two candidates the Panel

 

Resolved to RECOMMEND:  unanimously (to Council)

 

That Brendan Arnold be designated as the Council’s Section 151 Officer.

 

RESOLVED:  (unanimously)

 

That the statutory post of Interim Director of Finance and Assurance (Section 151 Officer) be offered to Brendan Arnold, who was the Interim Director of Finance (Section 151 Officer), Woking Borough Council, on the day rate of £1,265.06 (all inclusive) for five days a week until a permanent postholder is in post and subject to there being no ‘material and well-founded objections’ from members of the Executive.
