RESOLVED:  To note that there were no public questions, petitions or deputations submitted to this meeting under the provisions of Committee Procedure Rules 18, 15 and 16 (Part 4B of the Constitution) respectively.

Chairs of Subsidiary Bodies

The appointment of Chairs to these Committees and Panels for the Municipal Year 2003/2004, as appropriate, was agreed at the Committee’s Special meeting on 15 May 2003 under Committee Procedure Rule 7.2. The appointments then made were as follows:-

 

  • Chief Officer Appointments Panel –  Councillor Foulds

     (Leader of the Council)

  • Education Awards Appeals Panel   Councillor Toms
  • Licensing Panel                            Councillor Knowles
  • Pension Fund Investment Panel    Councillor D. Ashton

 

[Appointments as Chairs were not made in respect of the Appeals Panels with ‘pool’ attendance arrangements i.e. NNDR Discretionary Rate Relief, Personnel and Social Services Appeals].

Exercise Discretion Under Regulation 31 of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 1997 (as amended)

Report of the Executive Director - People First.

Minutes:

RESOLVED:  That

 

    (I)            the case referred to in the report be agreed as a suitable case for consideration under Regulation 31 of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 1997 (as amended), and;

 

   (II)            that having so determined, the early retirement  of the employee referred to in the report be agreed under Regulation 31.
