RECOMMENDATION 1 - Admissions to County Schools

Minutes:

On 27 May 2009, there were 2 children for whom admissions staff could make no reasonable offer of a school place.  The Education Admissions and Awards Advisory Panel was requested to authorise the admission of these pupils to a school, where no place existed in the relevant year group.

 

Resolved to RECOMMEND:

 

That offers of admission to schools be made as follows:

PART II - MINUTES

500.

Appointment of Vice-Chairman

Minutes:

In accordance with Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this item, which was deferred from the last meeting, was admitted late to the agenda.  The item had not been listed on the agenda as the agenda had been dispatched before the last meeting had taken place.

 

RESOLVED:  That Councillor Husain Akhtar be appointed as Vice?Chairman of the Education Admissions and Awards Advisory Panel for the Municipal Year 2009/2010.

Attendance by Reserve Members

To note the attendance at this meeting of any duly appointed Reserve Members.

 

Reserve Members may attend meetings:-

 

(i)                 to take the place of an ordinary Member for whom they are a reserve;

(ii)               where the ordinary Member will be absent for the whole of the meeting; and

(iii)             the meeting notes at the start of the meeting at the item ‘Reserves’ that the Reserve Member is or will be attending as a reserve;
