Agenda Item 8 – Admission to County Schools
Councillor Camilla Bath declared a non pecuniary interest in that she was a governor of Whitchurch First School and Nursery, Harrow High School and St George’s Roman Catholic School. She would remain in the room for the consideration of any cases relating to those schools.
Councillor Asad Omar declared a non pecuniary interest in the above item in that he was a governor of Nower Hill School. He would remain in the room for the consideration of any cases relating to that school. |

Admission to County Schools Report of the Corporate Director Children and Families. Minutes: The Panel agreed to consider the report as a matter of urgency for the reasons set out on the supplemental agenda.
It was noted that the case reference numbers P175, P176, P177, P178, P179, P182, P183 and P186 had been withdrawn as the relevant pupils had been allocated a place prior to the meeting.
On 14 November 2012,there were 7 children for whom admissions staff could make no reasonable offer of a school place. The School Placement Panel was requested to recommend to the Corporate Director of Children and Families that the admission of these pupils to a school where no places existed in the relevant year group be authorised.
Letters from the Executive Headteacher and the Associate Headteacher of Camrose Primary School and the Admissions Secretary of Grange Primary School were made available to the Panel.
Resolved to RECOMMEND: (to the Corporate Director of Children and Families)
