Purpose:

(As set out in the Council Decision of 21 February 2019): to ensure delivery of the
overall Homes for Harrow council house building programme.

Decision:

To authorise the grant of a shared ownership lease of flat 17 Harrison Court, Grange Farm Harrow, including enter into supplemental documents comprising: (1) an agreement to grant the lease; and (2) a heat agreement for the supply of heat to flat 17.

Alternative options considered/rejected by the officer: As set out in the report to Cabinet: The council has considered options to increase the supply of affordable housing in Harrow and decided to progress a new council house building programme now that additional funding is available.

Terms of any express authorisation: On 20 June 2023 the Corporate Director of Place delegated authority to the Director of Housing, authority to dispose of the 20 shared ownership properties at Grange Farm Harrow following consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Housing.
